Obtain New Job Skills During a Recession

lemonadeTimes are tough. While life can be a struggle during a recession, it’s also a good time to reconsider your future. By attending community college, you can make an investment in your future job security by learning new job skills or learning a new trade.

Many people who have lost their jobs or fear losing their jobs can become depressed or apathetic. Instead, look at this time as an opportunity to prepare for the future. Acquire the training you need to pursue a new line of work, get hired at an advanced level when you get back to work, and permanently increase your paycheck amount.

Community college students in the San Joaquin Valley take courses that lead to jobs in fields such as automotive technology, agriculture business, nursing, and information technology. With just a two-year commitment, you can be trained for a job in a new field of interest to you.

State Center Community College District also offers short-term workforce training programs, as well as adult education, General Education Development (GED) test preparation, and other courses to empower local citizens to transition into a field of study or workforce training.

It’s a great time to get started. Enroll today!
