Sammy, I hear you. In 2004, at the age of 48, I returned to school, at FCC. In the ensuing years, I finished an AA at City, two BA's at CSU Fresno, and I'm currently working on my Ph.D. at UC Merced. Oh, and to make it even more fun, I currently teach in the History Department at Fresno City College -- the same campus where I returned to school, just a few short years, ago.

Congrats and keep plugging.

Wow! It's always great to hear about a program that is not just "giving a man a fish" but it is "teaching a man to fish". Great work! It is certainly a blessing to be a part of something that is transforming someone's life, family, community and country. Mr.Mullingan and Miss.Quintero-Adame, keep up the good work and thank you for your passion.

He refers to Latino and Hispanic success rates because their successes and failures are close to his heart. Not to mention that Hispanics make up half the population of our state, yet the percentage of Hispanics with degrees is a dismal portion of the whole.

Mr Dominguez is a fabulous professor, by far the best I have ever had. He is extremly tough, but how can you learn without being challenged? He immediately demands respect in his classroom, good students are happy to return it. I am only 5 weeks into his class and can't wait for more.
